Haircuts
It does seem that when change comes to my life, it is usually marked by some sort of physical change. In this instance, it is a haircut. At an earlier point, it was piercings. That is not as attractive an option for me now, and I sometimes wonder what that says about how we accept social norms. Why do we let a society that overvalues consumption and undervalues principle determine anything about our worth? I guess the best amongst us do not allow this to happen.
Change that moves us forward is desirable. Releasing some of the load, trusting a higher sense of Soul, of beauty, frees us to be more active, more responsive, more giving. Not bad for $45!
